Hi my friends and sisters and brothers in Christ!
I’ve been tending to other fields the past several weeks. It’s been oh so busy. For my siblings in Christ who have followed my blog for the past several years, I semi-regularly come off WP to tend my other fields. Now is such a time to do so again.
I have learned a few things recently I wanted to share first. I have started to take less of an immediate, have to get it done now approach to my spiritual life and – as I did when I was younger – am taking a longer view. I’m looking at our portfolio of work to be done on this earth at 30,000 feet from the airplane instead of wading and hacking my way through the dense, overgrown and harsh forests below. I’m seeing clearly our destination. Our home with our Father.
This verse came to mind as I wrote this. 1 Peter 1:13,
Set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Fully. Not partially. All in. Everything. All hope on what’s to come in Christ. All of it.
I’m in. Let’s do this.
But as for blogging, until that time in the Father’s house, I look forward to popping my head in again down the line. And I look forward to the day when we all finally meet in the Father’s house – though it may be decades away, it most certainly will go fast as time flows relentlessly and quickly into our glorious future with Christ.
A short update on my side…
– Fostering is so much better. Many of the behavioral and heart issues have begun to clear up. Amen!
– We are less than 2 weeks away from officially adopting!
– Spiritual warfare has heated up. Satan is mad he’s losing these kids. He loses. Jesus wins.
– Vacation was wonderful. I always love getting to spend time under some palm trees.
So my friends…you are loved. You are the beloved of our God. Go in peace, blessed in his name and heart and his Spirit.
Your brother in Christ,
Joel
Amen to that! Glad to hear you and your family are doing good brother! I’ll be praying for you guys!

Ah Joel my dear – just as I was “beginning” to miss you here on WP, bam! You’re back π It’s great hearing from you and I’m so pleased you’re all doing well.
I agree – setting the mind fully on the goal takes away a lot of stress and agony and worries about how to get through the day. But once in a while, we do need to step down into the dense fog and slay the devil head on… It’s this thing about Satan; He knows that he lost already, but the creep doesn’t want to give up.
Anyhow, I’m good here too. My novel is coming along – 60k words by now. I am currently editing things to bring in a 2nd storyline, so prayers for that to go well is appreciated.
Praying for you all.
Take care and Lord’s blessings to you.

60k! You’re making progress Lene! I remember back when I did writing full time for a season. I was glued to the word count to make sure I was on target. You have my prayers for that friend!
God bless! I look forward to seeing your book on Amazon one day! Take care and blessings in Christ.
